i see nothing positive coming out of this from a government who already wants to censor the internet – this is just a shameless way to brainwash the internet community/generation into voting for labor at the next election – telstra already has an existing network, but oh no, why help them when the government can just duplicate everything – waste of money much?

….are you serious!!!????? Telstra has been standing in the way of competition and innovation for years with respect to fixed line services. They’re not remotely interested in upgrading regional broadband (…..at least they weren’t until they were ruled out of the NBN, coincidence much!) and you think the government should ‘help’ them…..WTF!!!

Telstra is a pig of a company that will not share its infostructer.
If you had paid attention over the last few years you would know that a lot of companys have had to take telstra to court to try and get some action.
The infostructer should have been sold as a separate deal .
Thank Howard for that mistake.
I will be buying the faster service if it is affordable.
